Since there is no signs of the Lil Kim Vs Nicki Minaj beef slowing down, I decided to post both of their version of Lil Kim’s “The Jumpoff.” Which version do you guys like the best?
In 2003, Lil Kim released “The Jumpoff,” which was featured on her album, La Bella Mafia. The song reached number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. La Bella Mafia was rated 4.5 mics of out 5 by The Source magazine. The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200. Kim was nominated for five Source Awards and won two (“Female Hip-Hop Artist of the Year”, and “Female Single of the Year”).
In the summer of 2007, Nicki Minaj remade Lil Kim’s “The Jumpoff” and filmed a video for it, which appeared on The Come Up DVD. Nicki is currently enjoying the success of her debut album Pink Friday. Just one month after Nicki Minaj released her highly anticipated debut album Pink Friday, it is now over 700,000 in sells. Nicki is the only female rapper to receive a gold plaque since Lil Kim’s The Naked Truth and Missy’s The Cookbook back in 2005. Pink Friday is also the highest first week selling and fastest selling album since Lauryn Hill released her debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill back in 1998.

Agreed that Lil Kim is the “Queen of Rap.” Beside Lauyrn Hill, I think she’s the BEST to ever to do.
