Just 23 years young and I am already LIVING MY DREAMS! At one point, I felt like I was on top of the world. By the age of 20, I’ve already interned at some of the biggest music publications, had articles published in magazines, had news stories featured on major Hip-Hop sites. Also, I launched my own management company with $2,000 out of my college dorm room. After graduating college (May 2010), I decided to move to New York City to focus more on my career as a journalist/blogger and music manager. My intentions were to get my own apartment in Harlem and open up an office, nearby my apartment but it didn’t work as plan because the living expense is very high in Harlem, USA. I’ve decided to get a roommate and I moved to the Bronx, New York.
Things were going great, as I projected. I was living the life. I had a job making $40,000 a year, I had no problem paying my half of my roommate and I $1,400 rent & utilities every month, I was 5th Ave shopping, champagne popping and dining at the best eateries in the city. Also, I was interning at Complex magazine, covering concerts, going to industry events, interviewing rappers and going to meeting at Universal Motown Records. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
