New Music: Lil’ Kim Ft. Young Jeezy “Keys To The City”

Over this weekend, New York’s DJ, DJ Funk Master Flex premiered Lil Kim new track “Keys To The City” Ft. Young Jeezy. If I’m not mistaking, this is the first single off Kim’s upcoming album. 2012 is looking great for Kim, so far. Last month, Kim appeared as a guest on Bravo’s hit show ‘Watch What Happens Live’ with Andy Cohen, MTV‘s ‘Rap Fix Live,’ BET‘s ’106 & Park’ and ‘Rip The Runway’. She also sat  front-row at The Blonds “Live Fast, Dye Blond” Fall 2012 Fashion Show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Milk Studio, NYC. I’m so glad that Kim is back. She paved a way for a lot of these female artists in the game. Listen to the audio below:

Lil Kim will also make an appearance on a track off Dr. Dre’s long-delayed album, entitled Detox. Dre and Lil Kim recorded a track, entitled “p***y.” If that’s not enough, Lil Kim is also working on a book titled The Price of Loyalty.  “If You Love Me” and “Keys To The City” are Kim’s first two official singles in nearly seven years. Her last singles “Lighter Up” and “Whoa” were released back in 2005. They appeared on her album The Naked Truth, which  earned her a 5 mic rating from The Source, making her the only female rapper to ever receive a 5 mic rating. The album debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 charts, giving Kim her Third Top 10 debut on the charts.
