So now this entire new Aaliyah album rumor which is rumored to be executive produced by Drake is getting a little too confusing! Last weekend, I posted a new track from the late Aaliyah called “Enough Said” Ft. Drake and produced by Noah “40″. Many people including myself thought that Drake leaked the track, was wondering who gave him the approval to clear the sample or clearance to any of Aaliyah’s records and if Timbaland and Missy was left out of Aalyiah’s upcoming album.
On Tuesday, I reported that the track was indeed released by Aaliyah’s camp and Timbaland is involved in Aaliyah’s upcoming project. I also reported that Aaliyah’s brother Rashad, took to Facebook and stated that there is NO Aaliyah album in the works that is supported by her immediate family. “There is no official album being released and supported by the Haughton family,” said Aaliyah’s Brother Rashad Haughton.
Now the latest in this saga is that Drake confirmed with Much Music that he is working on an Aaliyah album with his producer Noah ’40′ Shebib and he is hoping to get everyone involved.
