Don’t we love the new season of RHOA? The first two episodes have been really good. This season premiere was the most watched show in Bravo’s network history. In a recent interview with The Insider, Nene mentioned that the show does so well because of herself and because they are the only “brown girls.” Nene does a great job at branding herself. Watch her interview below:
“In the…’Real Housewives’ franchise, we are the only brown girls,” said Nene. “You can always turn on the TV and see those Beverly Hills girls, those Miami girls, those New Jersey girls, [and] New York girls and you still sort of…get the same flavor, but when you turn and see the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ you’re getting a group of brown girls.”
Nene added that women on RHOA are “super entertaining and “fabulous.” ”With us, we’re not so plastic surgery,” she said. “[On] these other franchises, everybody’s so plastic…We’re just regular girls. We’re really keeping it real, and I’m always surprised when people say, ‘Are you guys scripted?’ We’re so not scripted; we’re just a disaster.”
