Rapper Wale was posted up on a street corner in NYC. He styled in a dope denim jacket, tee-shirt and ripped denim jeans paired with Adidas Top Ten 2000 “LA” Big City sneakers. The Lakers inspired sneakers feature an anodized purple synthetic upper with electricity hits on the laces, inner lining, branding, pull-tab and outsole. This shoe is also lined with custom “The City Keeps Dreamin” insoles. Wale’s new mixtape Folarin arrives December 24th (Christmas Eve).
YMCMB’s Nicki Minaj was rushed by screaming fans and paparazzi as she shopped at upscale boutiques Gucci and Louis Vuitton in Beverly Hills. For her shopping trip, Minaj wore a black leather jacket and pants paired with Giuseppe Zanotti Snakeskin Point-Toe Wedge Boots. Since a lot of us are in the Christmas spirit and this is the season of giving, Minaj’s hypeman and A&R Scaff Brezzy gave some elderly man in a wheel chair $100. The American Idol judge stepped out looking good in all black head-to-toe. She also sported her signature long blonde wig. Do you have any thoughts on her look?
Wale drops his Folarin mixtape cover art and it is simple; needs no explanation. The project arrives December 24th (Christmas Eve). A few days ago, his latest track “Blessings” dropped on the Interweb. LG handled the production! I have to admit that Wale is coming hard. He is giving music fans and critics something to listen too. “Too Much Talk“ was also a banger! I like the direction he’s going with his most recent songs. I’m also looking forward to Folarin.
Former reality star, business woman and socialite Angela Simmons was photo’d getting into a taxi cab in NYC. She wore a black jacket and dyed blue jeans which she rolled up above her ankles paired with nude pumps. These pics are a little blurry, therefore I can’t tell if the pumps she’s wearing are Jimmy Choo or Christian Louboutin (if you know, leave a comment). She accessorized her outfit with a classic ChanelFlag Bag. I was not able to find the exact bag that Angela was carrying but I found something similar on the brand’s site (see the picture below). Angela is working on a new lifestyle website, AngelaIam.Comwhich will launch soon. I have a lot of respect for Angela. She’s great at what she does and she has a lot of respect for herself. She is not one of those female celebs that have a bad image. Angela also does a great job branding herself. What is your verdict on her outfit?
On January 14, Dipset/Def Jam rapper Juelz Santana is scheduled to release his highly anticipated comeback mixtape, God Will’n. The artwork was released this weekend and Juelz goes up in smoke and shows his gold chain, watch and ring on the cover. God Will’n marks the Harlem native return to music. He hasn’t released a full album since 2005′s What The Game’s Been Missing! which debuted at #1 on both the Top Rap Albums and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts and #9 on the Billboard 200. The album has sold over 655,000 copies worldwide, which was good enough to give Juelz a gold plaque. I do not know who’s featured on this mixtape but I do know that Juelz has been in the studio with Wiz Khalifa, Wale, Lloyd Banks, Lil Reese, Jeremih, Future, Lil Wayne and Yo Gotti. Any who knows me, know that I like and support Juelz music. Juelz is someone who I respect. Every time we run into each other, he always shows me love and sometimes do an interview with me. My question is, since Juelz hasn’t release a full body of work in years, can he be hot again as far as music? In 2013, is Juelz still relevant musically and are people looking for any new material from Juelz?
It is my opinion to say that Juelz is supposed to be bigger than what he is; he’s supposed to be at the top or damn near. Juelz is still young (he’s only 29) and still has time to grow. He also relates to the youth and college students which are the biggest music supporters. If Juelz release a dope mixtape, send out new Vlogs and visuals viral and start doing some promo runs, I think he can get hot again. With that being said, in 2013, I think people are still looking forward to a Juelz project. Do you agree or disagree with me? Why or why not? I want to hear your responses.
