During my senior year at Rutgers University, I took an internship in the editorial department at XXL magazine. During my eight months there, I wrote news stories for their site, got an article published in the May 2010 issue and interviewed rapper Juelz Santana backstage at his concert.
After graduating from Rutgers University in May 2010, and ending my internship with XXL, I landed another internship at www.globalgrind.com. During my short time at Global Grind, I wrote news stories and covered VH1 Hip-Hop Honors: Dirty South. On the red carpet, I interviewed Gucci Mane, Slime Thug, Juvenile, Ying Yang Twins, Dem Franchise Boyz, J Prince, and Bun-B.
In 2011, I interviewed Juelz Santana, J. Cole, T.I. and his wife Tiny and Kay K (A&R for Universal Motown and eOne Music).
I also interned in the music department at Complex magazine and was a media consultant intern for ThedaDotCom LLC.
I am now a contributing writer for www.hiphopweekly.com and a freelancer for Spring Creek Sun newspaper in Brooklyn, New York.
Outside of working for other publications, I am the founder, owner and Editor-In-Chief of www.yodonbleekraps.com and music manager.
