NBA player Amar’e Stoudeamire of the New York Knicks took some time off the court to celebrate the EPIX premiere of his In The Moment film. His pregnant wife, Alexis, and teammates Carmleo Antony, Tyson Chandler, Chris Copeland and fashion designer Rachel Roy accompanied him during the Tribeca Film Festival. Sports Analyst Stephen A. Successful Hollywood actress and George Washington University’s alumni Kerry Washington covers Ebony Magazine’s ‘Scandal’ March 2013 issue. On the cover, the Bronx native dressed sexy in a black leather alligator top and leather skirt. She is also working her big hairdo! In the cover story, Washington talks about her character Olivia Pope on ABC’s Scandal and the slave, Broomhilda, in Django Unchained. On what she loves about Olivia Pope in Scandal:

Yesterday Thursday (January 17), multi-platinum-selling Grammy Award winning singers Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson arrived to Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival. A. Keys was there to promote her new film The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister & Pete. She also executive produced this project which tells the story of two inner-city kids who are forced to fend for themselves over the summer after their mothers are taken away by authorities. In the movie, J. Hud stars as a character with a heroin addiction. Jordan Sparks, Anthony Mackie and Skylan Brooks also star in the movie.

Last night Thursday (January 10), actor Marlon Wayans premiered his funny/horror movie A Haunted House which he stars in for a group of selected journalists, bloggers and industry insiders at the AMC movie theater on 34th Street in Manhattan, followed by a private reception at The Time Hotel on West 49th Street and I was in attendance. The event was spearheaded by 135th Agency. During the reception, Marlon talked about the making of the film and what critics may have to say. “I didn’t make this film for the critics,” said Wayans. He added, “I made it for you…the fans. This film gave me an opportunity to do what I wanted to do without someone trying to reel me in.” He also answered a lot of questions during the Q&A as well as told some pretty cool jokes.
