Ciara New Song “Sorry” Is About A Famous Person She Used To Date; 50 Cent?

This Thursday (September 13), platinum-selling singer Ciara is scheduled to debut her “Sorry” visual on BET‘s ’106 & Park’. The heartfelt song is about a famous person that she used to date. She was in love with him but he never said sorry for mistreating her, which is the reason why they broke up. Is she talking about 50 Cent? Essence caught up with Cici and they discussed her new track as well as her upcoming album, One Woman Army. Below are some excerpts:

Your song “Sorry” is out this week and on it you’re pretty candid about a relationship gone wrong.
I feel like I’ve evolved as a woman, and you get to feel that on the song. I literally had to stop myself from crying when I was writing it. You can kinda hear it on the song. I wanted to just go and vent and be free in my music. It’s my way of saying something that I’ve wanted to say to someone for a long time. It’s very real to my heart. I think it’s really cool to embrace the pain of something that may have hurt you and be able to express it through music.

Is it safe to assume the song is about 50 Cent or Amar’e Stoudemire?
It’s safe to assume that the song is about someone that I really loved. [Amar'e] was a sweetheart to me, but it’s definitely not about him.

Is this someone famous?
It’s someone that I really loved. They’ll know who they are when they hear the song.

The title of the album One Woman Army is pretty tough.
It was the best title to help me express where I am as a woman. It does represent independence but it’s not overly independent. I talk about needing a soldier; someone that’s going to stand on the frontline with me. It summarizes everything that I’ve been through and everywhere I want to go as a woman.

Ciara will debut “Sorry” on BET’s ‘106 & Park’ this Thursday (September 13).

50 Cent Is Still Not On Good Speaking Terms With Lloyd Banks & Tony Yayo; “I think I disabled them.”

50 Cent will be dropping his new album, Street King Immortal on November 13. A couple of weeks ago, he dropped the album’s first single “New Day” Ft. Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys. The song was produced by Dr. Dre and mixed by Eminem. It is good to hear 50 back on the radio! 50 is doing pretty good but that doesn’t means everything at his label is good. In fact, are there some issues in the G-Unit Camp? In a recent interview with XXL, 50 had some things to say about his protégé Lloyd Banks and childhood friend Toyo Yayo and it wasn’t good. Below are some excerpts:

Just last month you were very critical of Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, saying they need to “Get themselves together.” Since that time they each dropped a mixtape, Banks with V6and Yayo with Sex, Drugs & Hip-Hop. Have y’all talked?

I actually haven’t spoke to ‘em very much. I’m to fault for that, though. I think I disabled them.

What do you mean by that?

I did so much for them that they don’t have a continuous work ethic. They got both of those tapes out there, but did you see any visuals? Anything? There’s certain things that the new guy is doing to create momentum or energy. They just sit there and wait. When someone works for you, you have the habit of dealing with things by not dealing with them. You may get in the regimen of coming over and doing it for them.

By them not dropping videos to accompany their mixtape tracks, what does it tell you?

Dropping mixtapes…that was my ’02 strategy. That’s 2002 marketing. That’s old. You did nothing if you did that. Look what I’ve done with The Lost Tape or The Big 10. There’s videos for everything that was on the tapes. If you’re going to just wing it and drop a mixtape…pick the highlights that people like most and shoot ‘em. Go shoot the video.

Street King Immortal: 50 Cent Announces New Album Single Ft. Alicia Keys & Dr. Dre

It’s been almost three years since 50 Cent released his last album, Before I Self Destruct. A few weeks ago, Fif dropped his street album, 5 (Murder By Numbers) which received mixed reviews. In November, Fif will be dropping his new album, Street King Immortal. During a recent interview with U.K.’s Digital Spy, 50 announced that Street King Immortal‘s first single features Alicia Keys and Dr. Dre and is set to drop today Tuesday (July 17).

I released three albums worth of material in the last three months. Big 10 which was celebrating the 10th year anniversary of my first mixtape. The Lost Tape followed that then I released 5 (Murder By Numbers). The next wave of music won’t be out until November. Street King Immortal is the actual studio album being marketed by Interscope. The first single will be out Tuesday (July 17), it’s myself, Alicia Keys and Dr. Dre. I’m excited about this project. It took a lot longer than what it would have had taken as far as I’m concerned creatively. But it worked itself out,” said 50 Cent.

Partying In Style: 50 Cent Wears A $573 Balmain Eagle Print Tee-Shirt To His Birthday Bash

For his 37th birthday party, 50 Cent celebrated across the pond in Paris at Le Vendome nightclub and he sure did partied it up in style. Fif and his entourage popped bottles of champagne as the sexy ladies kept them entertained. For the occasion, 50 rocked a $573 Balmain Eagle Print Tee-Shirt, True Religion jeans and a pair of Nike sneakers. I’m not too impressed with the shirt or sneakers. The True Religion jeans are okay though. Do you have any thoughts on 50′s outfit?

Official Album Artwork: 50 Cent “5: Murder by The Numbers”

Without the proper support from his label (Interscope Records) and a lack of promotions, Queens rapper 50 Cent is still releasing his forthcoming LP, entitled 5: Murder By The Numbers this summer. Over this weekend, the music mogul unveiled the album’s artwork and it look pretty simple and low-budget. Pick up the album July 3 on iTunes. What do you think of the artwork?
