Taking His Talents To South Beach: Rising Chicago Rapper Rockie Fresh Signs To Rick Ross’ MMG

Congrats goes out to rising Chicago rapper Rockie Fresh. He has been added to the MMG power circle. Earlier this morning Thursday (July 12), the up & coming rapper signed to Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group. Hard work pays off and it’s good to see Fresh turn his dream into reality. He has been riding high after the release of his mixtape, Driving 88 back in January. Fresh was signed to Roc Nation management and created a bigger buzz for himself after dropping mixtpes and viral videos. Peep the series of tweets from Rick Ross below:

Shots Fired! Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group Takes Shots At Young Jeezy On Twitter

As I previous reported, rapper Young Jeezy’s new LP Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition was scheduled to hit stores September 20. As of press, there is still no official tracklisting, no online pre-orders and no official video. Therefore, I believe Jeezy’s album was not only pushed back but I don’t think the disc will ever see the light of day.

Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group recently took to their official Twitter account @MaybachMusicGrp and fired some shots that were aimed directly at Young Jeezy. Rick Ross also retweeted the shots that were fired. Peep the tweets below:

Is DMX Signing To Maybach Music? X Says Rick Ross Extended His Hand To Join Maybach Music Group

New York’s rapper DMX is expected to be released from prison early next month. In an exclusive interview with Vibe magazine, X said that Rick Ross extended  his hands to join his Maybach Music Group. This will be a great look for X. Below are some excerpts from X interview with Vibe:

VIBE: You got major labels interested?

DMX: Yeah. Actually, Rick Ross’ peoples wrote me a letter while I was in here.

What!

Yeah like ‘Yo we got a home for you. We’ll pick you up in a limo. Just come to Miami. Just come, we got you.’

Oh wow, have you thought about that?

I’m thinking about it. It was a good feeling. I respect him as an artist, and I would like to work with him. But he got the whole Illuminati thing going on.  I got fans who write me like ‘I’m glad you’re not a part of that.’ And I don’t know what it’s really about entirely. So it might be like a good thing.

That’s crazy man. Because I don’t know if you heard but right now Rick Ross is on fire. Maybach Music Group signed up a whole bunch of people. Wale, Pill–and they’re really doing it man. That would be a crazy power move if you guys joined up.

Yeah. I have respect for him and he expressed interest that he wanted to work with me while I was out. So I definitely want do a song with him, but I don’t know about the record label thing. I would have to see what his camp is like and feel people out.  I’m not the average artist.

Sneaker Me Dope: Maybach Music Group Rocking Air Jordan Sneakers

Yesterday Tuesday (April 12) Maybach Music Group appeared on BET’s 106 & Park. On the set, the Selfmade hustla’s were rocking Air Jordan sneakers.  Rick Ross worn a pair of Cement 3′s, Wale worn a pair of Wolf Grey Air Jordan V, Pill worn a pair of Air Jordan XII Lows and Meek Mill worn a pair of the Space Jam Air Jordan XI. Are Air Jordan’s the new sneaker of Hip-Hop?

Ross, Wale, Mill and Pill are gearing up for the release of their MMG compilation Selfmade. The album is scheduled to hit stores and online May 24. Last month, Ross inked a partnership deal with Lyor Cohen/Warner Bros Records for his label Maybach Music Group, which consist of Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, and Pill.

Maybach Music Group Self Made Cover

On May 24, Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, which consist of Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, and Pill will be dropping their debut compilation album Self Made. Over this week, the offiical album cover was released. Last month, Ross inked a partnership deal with Lyor Cohen/Warner Bros Records for his label Maybach Music Group.

Rick Ross Announces Maybach Music Group Compilation, ‘Selfmade’ Coming Soon

Rick Ross recently announced via Twitter @MaybachMusicGrp that he will be releasing a Maybach Music Group compilation album with his artists Wale, Meek Millz and new signee Pill. “IT’S OFFICIAL..MAYBACH MUSIC/WARNER NEW ALBUM “SELFMADE” COMING SOON!!! #POWERCIRCLE @RICKYROZAY@JOEYIE@IAMDIDDY.”

The compilation album is titled Selfmade. As of press, the album does the have a release date. Ross’ last album Teflon Don is now gold (selling over 500,000 copies). Ross is gearing up to tour with Nicki Minaj and Mix Master Mike on Lil Wayne’s “I am Music 2″ tour. Ross new album God Forgives, I don’t will be in stores and online this summer.

Will Rick Ross Be Taking His Maybach Music Group To Jay-Z’s Roc Nation?

Let the bidding war begin. With the recent signing of Wale and Meek Millz; Rick Ross is looking for a home for his Maybach Music Group imprint. According to online reports from Rap Radar and AllHipHop, the music industry’s executives are bidding over Ross & Maybach Music Group. Below is how Rap Radar is reporting the story.

“Inside sources have told me the players include: Jay-Z’s Roc Nation/Sony; Birdman’s CMB; Lyor Cohen and the good folks at Warner; and Diddy and Iovine at Interscope.”
