The ladies took over Pillars 37 Studios for media/press interviews, pics and they also talked about what is in store for the next 2014 season. Peep their fabulous outfits below:

There aren’t too many reality stars that actually capitalize off the show and turn their 15 minutes of fame into a multi-million empire. Well, Nene Leakes of Real Housewives Of Atlanta did. The outspoken reality superstar turned business mogul has an empire which includes real estate, a restaurant and shoe line. Nene is more than just reality TV. She also has a recurring role on Fox’sGleeand a regular role on NBC series, The Normal. It is quite obvious that Nene is a brand! The very stylish “glam-mother” recently sat down with Katie Couricfor an interview. Check out what she had to say below:
On finding her new reality difficult to fathom at times:
“You know, when you’re working and you’re doing stuff over and over and over again, you hardly get a chance to sit a chance to sit and be like ‘Oh, thank you Jesus,” because you’re going from one thing, to the next, to the next. But, I do have those moments where I’m home and I’m like ‘I cannot believe my life,’ like I went from there to there all in a second.”
On why she’s the last original housewife on the show:
“Many didn’t have their options picked up again… When people watch the show, they only see what’s happening on the show, so they don’t they don’t really get to see what’s going on behind the scenes. There’s a lot of things that are happening behind the scenes and the only thing that I can say is that it was meant to be and those girls that left, they deserved to go… A piece of me feels bad when each girl leaves the show.”
On why the Bravo franchise’s Atlanta spin-off is so successful:
“Well we’re Atlanta girls. We’re the Georgia peaches and we are the only brown girls in the franchise so we are veryyyy different.”
On divorcing and remarrying Greg:
“I’m very excited about it [remarrying]. That [the divorce] was to teach Greg a lesson… I think he learned something. Today, a lot of women let men do things that they shouldn’t let them do.”
41 have never looked so good! Real Housewives Of Atlantareality star Kenya Moore showed off her beach body. The former Miss USA wore a white bikini on the beaches of Barbados. She sure did flaunt her flat stomach, abs and big booty. It is rumored that Kenya and her boo-thang Walter has called it quits. Ladies and gents, is this a sexy beach body or what?
Don’t we love the new season of RHOA? The first two episodes have been really good. This season premiere was the most watched show in Bravo’snetwork history. In a recent interview with The Insider,Nene mentioned that the show does so well because of herself and because they are the only “brown girls.” Nene does a great job at branding herself. Watch her interview below:
“In the…’Real Housewives’ franchise, we are the only brown girls,” said Nene. “You can always turn on the TV and see those Beverly Hills girls, those Miami girls, those New Jersey girls, [and] New York girls and you still sort of…get the same flavor, but when you turn and see the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ you’re getting a group of brown girls.”
Neneadded thatwomen on RHOA are “super entertaining and “fabulous.” ”With us, we’re not so plastic surgery,” she said. “[On] these other franchises, everybody’s so plastic…We’re just regular girls. We’re really keeping it real, and I’m always surprised when people say, ‘Are you guys scripted?’ We’re so not scripted; we’re just a disaster.”
Last night Sunday (November 4), the new season of Real House Wives Of Atlanta premiered on Bravo. I did see some of it and I enjoyed what I have seen. It is my opinion to say that Kim was a little jealous of Kandi when she gave her a tour of her new mansion. Model and Pageant Queen Kenya Moore made her memorable RHOA debut and she was so lovable. Is she on her way to becoming this season’s favorite and most standout reality star? Kenya recently chatted with The YBF about on why she joined the show, how she makes a living and how she hopes her appearance on RHOA will change the perceptions of women. Below are some excerpts:
On how she hopes her appearance on “RHOA” will change perceptions of women:
There are a few women on the show who endeavor to uplift and help our community- not tear it down as sometimes portrayed. I’m hoping my presence will raise the bar and show a unmitigated side to what it is like being over 40, Black, single and looking for lasting love all while trying to maintain a career, my dignity and self worth at the same time- AND not settle. I don’t have it all. I hope a lot of women will be able to identify with my personal struggle. With that said, we are all real women and it’s as real as it gets on season 5 of RHOA. It’s not always peaches and cream. No pun intended .
On how she makes a living and if she has a man:
I’ve been a business owner and entrepreneur for more than 25 years and have worked since I was 14 years old. I am a hard worker and fighter from Detroit and I’ve fought for everything I have, including my crown, and am very proud of my achievements. I am an accomplished producer, author, writer, actor, astute businesswoman and I’m educated. So therefore, I’m not a literal housewife. This season of RHOA is extremely enlightening and sheds a candid light on my personal life-which I’ve never done before. There is a man and you will meet him soon enough on the show.
On why she joined “RHOA”:
My motivation was the desire to change my lack of success in my personal life. The show was an opportunity to take a risk to do something I’ve never done before and step outside of my comfort zone. Additionally, the stability of being on a show affords me time to focus on having a family as it is part of my journey. There are also several charities close to my heart that I endow on the show and hope others will support. It will be evident why they are so important to me once the season airs.
In the past, I reported that reality star, author and business woman Toya Wright was interviewed to be a cast member on Real Housewives Of Atlanta. Up until now, Toya’s reasoning for turning down the show hasn’t been confirmed. In a recent interview with Sister 2 Sister, Toya revealed why she turned down the role. Read the excerpts below:
“I interviewed for the ‘Housewives,’ but I’m so used to doing shows with my producer, James DuBose, and being an executive producer on a show so I’m able to see how they portray me,” said Toya, who is protective of her image.
“I work so hard to build such a positive brand and to just let people know who I am. I don’t want to mess that up,” she said. While she has been able to maintain a virtually spotless image through two reality shows, Toya said she can understand why other reality stars complain about what fans see of them on TV.
“With the producers it’s about making good TV and some of them don’t really care about your personal life, as long as it’s something interesting for the cameras and something they can take to the next level to make juicy, they’re going to do it,” she said.
Even though I think if Toya would had joined RHOAshe would had a better chance of maximizing her opportunities, I still respect and agree with her decision to not join the show. What is your verdict on it?
