A couple of weeks ago, Rising Chicago rapper Spenzo who is rumored to be in the process of signing or already signed to Atlantic Records performed at the SXSW in Austin, Texas. The ladies were shot by famed photog duo Mert & Marcus. Versace sure did enlist an all-star cast for their Spring/Summer 2013 ad campaign. In separate images, Joan, Kate and Daria are photo’d with some muscular gladiators’ men in front of a midnight blue backdrop. In the spread, they wear some of the new season designs including leather accessories and metallic jewelry.

Last night R&B singer Keyshia Cole headed back home to the California coast for her Woman To Woman album listening party which was held at the Thom Thom Club. For the event, KC styled in a Valentino dress paired with Versace Triple Platform Pumps. It is being reported that KC was very excited and danced the night away. She also grabbed the mic and expressed that she was thankful to work with a great team for this project. Woman To Woman arrives on November 19 and feature the Lil Wayne assisted single “Enough of No Love”, Trust and Believe” and other tracks. Ashanti, Meek Mill, Boi-1da and Redd Stylez all collaborated with KC on this album.

Last night Wednesday (October 24), while I was at The Weeknd album listening party in NYC, Jennifer Hudson, Kanye West and Melanie Fiona attended the Versace Soho store grand opening in New York City. The celebs in attendance sipped on cocktails and viewed the fashion brand’s newest products. For the event, J Hud looked cute in an orange Versace dress paired with a black skirt, top and knee boots, Kanye dressed causal in a leather jacket and patchwork sweatpants paired with his Nike Air Yeezy 2 sneakers and Melanie Fiona also looked cute in all black everything.

Just the like late great Notorious B.I.G., French Montana has a fetish for Versace. He Instagramed a couple of pictures of himself dressed in a vintage Versace silk shirt with the matching scarf. Back in the 90′s rapper Biggie Small used to wear a lot of Versace shirts. During his performance at Jones Beach in New York for Drake’s ‘Club Paradise’ tour, Montana wore a silk vintage Versace shirt with the matching scarf. Beyoncé, Cassie, Brandy and Blac Chyna were also spotted wearing a Vintage Versace Silk Shirt.
In an interview with GQ Magazine, this Bronx native talked about his obsession with the upscale designer brand. “As soon as my money got right enough to buy Versace [laughs]. I have been a fan of Versace for so long, watching people like Biggie, Puff, Jay-Z. I’ve been collecting them for a while now.” Montana’s debut album, Excuse My French arrives in November. He enlists Kanye West, Max-B, Big Sean, Coke Boys, and Wiz Khalifa as collaborators for the album.
